I am an independent self-employed IT consult with over 14 years experience from system development and programming.
Currently I work both as subcontractor to other IT consultancy firms as well as directly for clients.

My main expertise lies within Java and JEE and with techniques such as Android, Struts, JMS, EJB and WebServices.
I have advanced experience both from IBM WebSphere environment and with DB2 as database aswell as from
open source environments and products such as JBoss,Eclipse and MySql.
In the initial phase of my career I have also been a developer in mainframe environment (IBM 3270) using COBOL.

I am used to work with all parts in the system development process, however my expertise lies mostly within programming.
The mix of my expericence of new and old techniques has proven valuable in projects where old systems needs to be intergrated with new technology.

Most of my career has been development of various traffic related systems for Scandinavian Airlines, SAS.
My employer was then SAS Data which later was taken over by CSC.

Before that I was employed by AMS, American Management Systems and worked with billing systems for clients in the telecom
business, (Telia in Sweden and PTT in the Netherlands). This work gave me experience from working abroad long time and to use
English as the main language.

I am fluent in English, both written and spoken. My mother toungue is Swedish.
I am Indian and am also familiar with Gujurati and Hindhi.

My main interest in assignments are all kind of java development, advanced webapplications.
I am also interested in roles as lecturer/instructor or mentoring.

Work experience

Employer: Self-employed consultant

2011-current
Working with development of own Android apps.

2010-2011
Assignment at one of Swedens leading business banks. Work involved mainly requirement and design tasks. The work methodology was Scrum and the design was mainly made using the tool Enterprise Architect. The assignment gave a good insight into the banking and finance buisness.

2008-2009
Assignment at IT company within the hospital and care business.
The work involved maintenance as well as new development where Swing was a main component.
Since there was various versions of modules developed in paralell, there was a great focus on version handling.
A great part of the job involved to find, understand, fix in existing source code and also to enhance it with new functions.
The work methodology used was Scrum.

Employer: Computer Science Systems, CSC (Overtook former SAS Data).

1999-2008 (Feb)
Developed a system which integrates legacy traffic planning systems with new technology in order to give the legacy
mainframe systems platform independency.
The system was built with J2EE design. Using techniques such as EJB, JMS, WebServices, Struts, DB2, MQ and in an IBM WebSphere environment.
During the last years much of the work has been in maintaining the system as well as creating webapplications/webservices that uses the system.
Have also developed and maintained a couple of minor systems and have then mainly worked with Struts technology that
via stored procedure has given a modern user interface to mainframe programs.

1998-1999
Developed a system which collected flight information from several systems and compiled it into information for further
distribution. Developed both in COBOL as well as in Java (applet using Swing).
The COBOL part of the system was unique since it was built object oriented despite that the COBOL language did not support this type of design.
This was a new and inventory system development approach and the system received a great deal of attention within the company.

Employer: American Management Systems

1997-1998
Worked with acceptance test support and problem analysis of the billing system FBS - Future Billing Systems
for the client Telia. At that time, this was their largest development project ever.
